With the increasing need of fertility treatments all over the world, it is important for aspiring doctors and embryologists who want to enter the field of ART (Assisted Reproductive Technologies) or who are established in this field, to be trained in a comprehensive program encompassing practical evidence based medicine as well as a overview of the IVF-laboratory.

ESHRE certified senior clinical embryologist Dr. Anupama Deenadayal Mettler, the school imparts outstanding training programs while simultaneously reinforcing research in reproductive medicine.

We at the Kiel School of Reproductive Medicine ensure that at the end of our intensive training program, each participant will be up-to-date in his or her clinical knowledge and aware of the workings of an IVF Lab.

Our Courses for you

We offer you one to one interactive training and hands on workshops. Participants will be exposed to the latest in clinical and laboratory advances in ART. For the comfort of the participants, along with the course, we have organized the hotel accommodation, meals and transportation.

We have designed the course especially for doctors interested in the rapidly evolving field of reproductive medicine, for gynecologists, for specialists in reproductive medicine and for embryologists who wish to expand their knowledge.

As our aim is to continue education even during the Covid-19 pandemic, we have decided to offer the same experience of practical teaching in a webinar form. It has been divided into 2 parts. The second part will have an extra day of one on one interaction with questions and answers.

Professor Emeritus Liselotte Mettler was the first in the 1980’s from Northern Germany to learn In-Vitro Fertilization from Professors Robert Edwards and Patrick Steptoe. She worked in 1976 for 6 months with Robert Edwards in Cambridge in his department of Physiology. She participated in the first IVF conference in Bourn Hall as the only German in a small group of international participants.

A radical group that was misinformed about IVF attacked the center and laboratory. Eventually, while fighting the system, the 1st IVF baby in Kiel was born in 1982 after the visit of Bob Edwards. Since its inception in 1981, the Reproductive Unit of the University (UKSH) has come a long way. We always strive to give our patients the best and latest in the world of ART and to share our experience and knowledge with the world.
